I live in Greenwood, Indiana. I was eight years old. A few weeks after my grandpa passed away, I was home from school, sick.
My dad and stepmom were away. They had gone to the gas station to grab a pack of cigarettes. I was not feeling well. All I wanted to do was lay on the couch and sleep. As soon as I heard the click of the door, I turned and faced the back of the couch so that I could rest myself.
Two minutes passed without any activity, when suddenly I felt someone shaking to awaken me. When I whirled around to see who it was, I saw nobody. I hurried to the window to see if my dad’s car was still outside, but there was no car in the driveway. I was all alone.
I was trembling and it was not because of the fever.
Another unexplained phenomenon that I had experienced was when I was fourteen. On Every Christmas Eve, my sisters and I would sleep together in the same room so that we could wake each other up in the morning.
It must have been eight or nine in the night. We were laying down on the couch and were watching television. After watching TV for an hour, I turned it off. Suddenly, we heard a booming scary voice say, “Stop it.”
Water started gushing out of my eyes. But I wasn’t crying. It was pure fear. Every single hair on my body was standing! My sister just stared at me, her eyes as round as saucers. She spoke out with great effort, “Please tell me you heard that!” Both of us were trembling now. I still didn’t know how.

A few months ago now, my wife and I were sitting on our patio outside while it was still warm. In that position, I can see down the hallway. Out of the corner of my eye, I felt like I saw a woman in the corner of the hallway. She was older, with her hair open. As soon as I turned to get a better look, she was gone. I want to forget that incident, but it keeps on lingering in my mind.

My wife and I have a dog named Fergie. She is always at blank spaces. I have a sneaky feeling that she is seeing something or somebody. She growls and barks in the hallway, right in the middle of the night. When we get up and have a look, there’s nobody there.
Last night, I and my wife and our dog were seated in the living room. Suddenly, Fergie yelped loudly like someone was trying to pull her up in the air.
