Street performers are using monkeys as their means of livelihood. Monkeys are made to wear masks and can be seen performing in streets of the city. The tradition has taken a dark turn and is an attempt to monetize on the victimization of the poor animals.
Finish photographer, Perttu Saksa captured the life of these helpless creatures in order to raise awareness and support against the practice. His photography series, titled ‘A Kind Of You’ documents the dark world of Jakarta’s street monkeys.
