The bath and beauty chain’s website said that the sale featured $9.50 three-wick candles. That orders has since run out online.
Many stores around United States opened as early as 6 or 7 a.m. for the sale, causing some fans to burn the candle at both ends in order to get first dibs on the merchandise.
Blow are some tweets show off the audiences opinions:
When the Bath & Body Works website was crashing bc of candle day and you didn’t think your order went through bc the site kept crashing so you just gave up and went to sleep…but then HOURS later you get multiple order confirmation emails. I never knew the #bathandbodyworks #candlesale was that big of a deal. I’m tempted to buy one just to see what all the hype is about. It’s like the new drug that the kids are into. What candle scent should be my gateway candle? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/OGNRjDwzh9— Bitchin’ Baker (@Betty_Focker) December 8, 2019

So I told my dad to get my mom a candle at the Bath and Body Works sale. He instead ended up going to Bed Bath and Beyond and the lady there said he was the 4th man to ask her where the on sale candles were😂😂 #bathandbodyworks #bedbathandbeyond #samething— Emma (@Emmaob1998) December 8, 2019
