10 Common Superstitions And Their Not So Common Origins.

They say everything happens for a reason. I know that to be true. I also know that the superstitious believes which sound illogical and stupid to us today,  used to scare the hell out of people in the past.
And some of them have been around for so long, that we are still doing them without even knowing why.
Like the reason we say bless you every time someone sneezes is not as illogical as it appears to be. We die for a millisecond during that sneeze period. Our heart stops beating momentarily, so saying bless you is the most apt thing to say.
From shooting stars to putting candles on a birthday cake, here are 10 common superstitions and the logic behind them.

1. Why Is Seeing The Bride On Wedding Day Is Bad Luck ?

This one has a logical yet funny explanation behind it. This practice was thought to ease the wedding woes faced by a woman and prevent the “Runaway Bride” like situation. In past times, it was believed that if a woman sees his future husband on the day of the wedding, she may turn cold feet and back away from the wedding itself.

2. Why Do We Eat Curd And Sugar Before Every Exam ?

I think we would be quite familiar with this one. Although there is no good spiritual reason behind it, the scientific one makes a lot of sense. See, curd acts as a soothing agent while the sugar is an energizer. So after consuming this combination, it helps to not only ease our nerves but also give a boost to our mind.
