Every teenager residing in the United States will tell you that being a prom king/queen is a pretty big deal. Though as anyone would expect being crowed the king and queen has a lot to do with popularity. But there are many instances where students have deliberately voted for unusual but equally deserving candidates.
Let’s take a look at some of them.

1. Jacob Kiefor, The Autistic Boy Who Had His Wish Granted.

18 year old Jacob Kiefor was a student in Lake Central High School, Indiana who had his wish to be a prom king fulfilled. Jacob had down syndrome, but that didn’t stop him from taking part in and winning the title. At the prom, not a single vote was cast against him.
